Everyday, I aspire to enjoy some of my favorite things, and I've written this page to share them with you.

Living our best, possible lives means optimizing body, mind, and spirit. Nothing is more important than daily practices that include meditating, writing in my journal, being outside (even on a cold day!), moving my body, spending time with people I love, and eating the best foods that are available to me. 

Try any that resonate with you and share what you like with the people you love!

Self-care is essential to healing, and an important part of my own self-care is using therapeutic-grade essential oils. In my own wellness practice, I use oils to wash leafy greens (a drop of lemon does the trick!); to energize my skin (a drop of peppermint in a carrier oil--whoa!); and to soothe all of me in a tub of hot water (a splash of lavender for sure!). Caring for my mind, body, and spirit is part of my daily ritual, and I invite you to honor yourself in creating a ritual that works for you.

Morning (or anytime!) Smoothies

What's in my daily smoothie?

  • frozen berries
  • cacao powder
  • shelled hemp seeds
  • stevia (2 drops) or
  • dash of organic vanilla extract
  • coconut milk
  • plant-based protein (Vega, for example)
  • cacao powder
  • green superfood powder
  • 1/2 avocado

Play with the amounts and ingredients until you find your perfect blend.


Water, water, water

Clean water, 72 ounces, every day. Use glass or stainless steel container to avoid harmful leeching from plastics.

Every morning, drink 32 ounces FIRST, before consuming anything else, including coffee.

I use a bottle like this Hydroflask, which easily lets me measure how much I drink each day.  


WRITE every day

A simple, blank notebook is all you need for this daily practice of telling the truth to yourself about yourself. I like a plain-paper sketch book that's spiral bound so that it lays flat, making the whole page accessible!

Whatever your movement of choice is--walking, running, swimming, cycling, yoga, pilates--do it at least a little, every day. Commit to yourself. Invite your family to join you. Break down whatever barrier that keeps your from showing your body--your temple--deep reverence.

I get my cardio primarily from cycling and swimming, my resistance training from TRX, and my toning from Pilates. Yoga, above all, sustains my mind-body connection and places me in the present moment. I keep a yoga mat rolled out in my bedroom so that I can easily step on it every morning and move for 15 minutes.
